Amnesia BOA readme

Amnesia is a different scenario than most (by the time it gets out, it probably won't be the first). There is no programmed combat and all of it takes place in one multi-part town/city (no outdoors). There are a series of puzzles and jobs that allow one to get through the scenario that do give experience. Hopefully the scenario is enjoyable. Note, at the start, all characters items are taken (along with spell energy). You'll get everything back at the end of the game (just don't forget it). A backup of your group is highly recommended prior to starting.

The coins carried by the party are also taken at the start except for (at most) 50 coins plus 5 for every pc beyond 1. If a party starts with less than 50-65, no coins are taken (or added). Money that may be needed can be earned by doing (standard) 'quests' (deliver, find, help) for several people. Once these are completed and the money spent, you'll have to 'steal' to get more - hopefully you don't get caught, because if so, the game is potentially over. There are games of chance you can play, but you'll probably lose more than gain.

There are several points in the scenario in which you can 'quit' before completing it. These are the preferred exits (since you can get your stuff back) as opposed using the character editor. Just look for and search the 'Wa[ke]Up' bush.

The scenario can be completed in about 5 minutes, if you know where to go. More than likely, at the start you'll spend a lot of time not getting anywhere. In order to make it more pleasant, the game has a built in hint system to help lead you along.

Images were snatched from The Louvre (yikes - some jpg's were a mess), web sites around the world, from some other games I have laying around along with images custom created/modified. I did try real hard to get jpg's cleaned up, but some still have weird artifacts here and there.

Issues:
 - Used extra wall sets (2) to supplement the 2 sets allowed per town. There are problems with the walls because the game engine does things with the original 2 sets it won't do with the extra sets. In addition, the second extra set, for some reason, allows one to 'look' at it. Tried many different things to remove this behavior, but failed.

Money Hint:
 - If you take the task to find wine, collect as many as you can find before returning. He stops buying from you after getting at least 5 bottles. Or, take 4 bottles to him, collect as many more as you can find, then take the rest to him for the quest completion. Be careful not to get caught stealing, for the game is probably over if the town turns mad at you.
